Wheel of names
Paste your list, spin, and let the wheel decide. For picking a presenter, a note-taker, or who explains the thing nobody wants to explain.
Names
8When a random pick beats a volunteer
In most rooms the same three people volunteer for everything and the same five never do. A wheel removes the social cost of being picked — nobody has to put their hand up, and nobody has to be asked directly by the most senior person present.
It is genuinely useful for choosing who presents back, who takes notes, who goes first in a round of critique, and which team gets which problem. Use it in the open so everyone can see the list is real.
